Surround yourself with people who lift you higher

There’s a reason that self-development books always go on about the people you hang out with. It’s because they make you who you are. We become part of our pack.
More often than not, you’ll be pretty similar to the people you spend the most time with.
You may be at similar levels of your career, be earning comparable amounts, and be on similar trajectories.
If your closest friend starts gaining weight, watch out.
Take a good look at the people around you.
Do you admire them, their habits and goals, and the way they lead their lives? Are you happy with the influence they have on you?
Sure they might be nice people, but if they’re always convincing you to smoke pot with them, is that what you want your life to look like?
Surround yourself with a tribe of supporters who guide you in the direction you want to be going. Only you know what you want that to look like.
Exercise
Think about the people you spend the most time with. Are you happy with the influence they have on you? Would you happily become more like them?
